3 people have this question

Hi Moustafa,

first of all please can you download and install the latest version - v2.0.2.

Then could you delete the fonts that you have already imported by clicking on the trash can.

Then select again the font that you wish to use (it must already be on your computer).

In the new version you will get to select which alphabets you wish to import for that font.

You will need to put the text as Arabic into the 'Add text' box - the software does not translate to Arabic.

You can use Google translate and then copy the Arabic text and paste it into VideoScribe.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Matthew

Thank you

But

Another problem

I want this

I am an Egyptian from Egypt

I use the Arabic language

This is the work of people from Egypt

Can you help me

You can import text as SVG images that will draw well in VideoScribe:

1. Import text as an SVG image file

2.Type the text you want to import into a writing programme

3.Copy the text

4.Open Inkscape (free image-editing software)

5.Select the type character in the sidebar (‘A’) and paste your text into Inkscape

6.Select ‘Path’ from the menu above and then ‘Object to path’– this will convert your text into an SVG image

7.Go to ‘File’, ‘Save as’ and save the text image to your computer

8.Open your VideoScribe project and click ‘Add image’

9.Find your text image and select ‘Use image’

10.Edit the draw time as necessary

I hope this is what you are looking for.

Thank you for adding Arabic font and I would like to let you know that letters in Arabic come connected not separated as what is happening now. this an example, when writing my name Khalid it should appears like this خالد all letters are connected to each other but once it is inserted in your program it will appears like this د ل ا خ

Please try to fix this soon to get the opportunity to use this wonderful program. Thank you

Khalid

Hi Khalid,

I have posted your suggestion as a feature request, the more people who 'like' the idea, the higher priority it will get.

Our development team will consider it for inclusion in a future release of VideoScribe.

-Matt

One other thing you can do to get the text to be more connected is to reduce the gap between the letters.

To do this:

select the text element in the timeline.

Click 'Change properties of this element' .

Click the minus icon to reduce the gap .

Thank you Matt
I have tried this before but it's not working

Khalid

Hi Khalid,

thanks for bringing this to our attention, and sorry that we cannot help you further with this right now. As Matt said, we have raised it with the product development team. We will post an update if we are able to resolve this issue.

i Have same problem , when in type arabic it can show that it writes from left to right but we have to write from right to left. as it shows separated alpha bit,,,, i need to to be linked .... i did all what you explain but still i have this problem...

Dear we have paid money for your program and i don't use it because the problem did not solve yet

Hi Mathew,

I paid for a full year license, and I would like to use it for Arabic language.... can you please quote at least when will this be available/fixed?

SVG - path thing is tedious and time consuming.....

Hi Ahmed, we do not have a quote as to when this will be changed.

We are looking at the font import Process as a whole for a future release.

Hi Team,

The same issues which is mentioned by others in this thread, me too am facing it. Would like to know by when this feature will be added.

Thanks.

Hi Fazle,

Currently the Arabic language feature has not been updated.

We are currently reviewing how fonts are used in VideoScribe.

This is a large project and currently is still ongoing.

Once we have this as a new feature we will most definitely

update everyone via our usual communication channels.

Thanks for your patience with this.
