I am software engineer an have tried many times to install videoscribe on my windows 8 notebook, I have tried the following:
Run as administrator
disable firewaland antivirus
Run with compatibility mode with windows 7 and XP
Tried all above in many different network
But looks like the program does not even try to download something in the first run, it already open the message about tht it requires network.

I have the same problem. I have Windows 8.1 and everything is compatible but when I download it a message appears saying "the app that you are trying to run is not supported on this version of windows."

Sorry you have this problem.
VideoScribe is compatible with Windows 8.1.
If you are using a Surface, you may be running Windows RT 8.1 which is not compatible with VideoScribe.

Sorry you have this problem.
VideoScribe is compatible with Windows 8.1.
