Background Image Opacity Problem

  • A Basic function on things like paint, powerpoint, and word etc is being able to have a picture without the square of white that comes with it. Essentially Im drawing symbols and then layering images on each other but the White square gets in the way. All I want is the line drawing as an image. It looks naf at the moment. I need transparency of the background as shown in the picture..How do I do that ? If not why i this not a function?

  • You can make a PNG  or SVG with a transparent background. Directions for that depend on the program that you are using but you can google search it pretty easily.

Gimp (free at gimp.org) and inkscape (free at inkscape.org) will work if you don't have other software.

(older versions of inkscape will create fewer complications in videoscribe)
