is there any way that as one image moves over another, it will make the one underneath disappear? I am trying to demonstrate something similar to Pac-Man, except something appears in the place of the previous image, as if he leaves something behind.. thanks!

You may be able to achieve this using morphing. I have attached a rough scribe here to illustrate how it could be done which you can import into VideoScribe.
Another option would be to take advantage of Videoscribe's custom hand feature.
Make a custom hand out of the image that moves over the top. Then use the custom hand to draw a plain white stroke over the lower images to make them disappear.
