grabbing the art work to "adjust it" takes multiple tries...why?

I am BRAND new at Videoscribe, having trouble grabbing art work to adjust it...i evetually get it but why am i having this problem?
Apple Macbook new 2018
mouse logitech m325? low end

the newest version a bit crap, you can't move the image that have another element above it. (or right of it, since the most right element, is the most above one as layer). IF you want to move the image that has something above it, use arrow keys in your keyboard. it's not your computer/laptop, it's the software.
