Download and install VideoScribe – PC

This instant answer will take you through the process you need to follow to install VideoScribe on a Windows PC. These instructions can also be used if you need to upgrade your version of VideoScribe.



Step 1. Log into your account

Go to your account page and log in using the details you signed up with. After you have logged in, click the download button (A).

Step 2. Select the Download for Windows button (B).

By default, most browsers will save the install file to your ‘Downloads’ folder.

If you have already downloaded the install file, skip to Step 3.

Step 3. Find the installer file.

When the download is complete, go to your Downloads folder (C) and double-click the VideoScribe.msi file (D).

Step 3. Proceed with the setup.

The Sparkol VideoScribe setup wizard will then be displayed on the screen.

Click on the 'Next' button (E) to proceed.

Step 4. Select where you would like VideoScribe to be installed.

Your ‘Programs’ folder will be selected by default (F), click 'Next' (G) to continue.

Step 5. If you are upgrading to a newer version of the VideoScribe software, you will see the screen below. 

Click the ‘Yes’ button (H) to confirm that you want to overwrite the current version installed on your computer, this will not affect the scribe projects saved on your machine. 

Step 6. Click on the Install button (I) to proceed.

Step 7. Finish the installation and launch VideoScribe.

Keep 'Launch Sparkol VideoScribe' (J) checked and click on Finish (K).

The installation is complete and the VideoScribe software will now open.
