Save a scribe online without opening it on the canvas

Last updated: 17 January 2018

You can quickly save a scribe to your online directory without having to open it on the canvas first. This article will show you how.

Saving a scribe to your online directory will make it available when you log into VideoScribe on another computer. This is also useful if you are having trouble opening the scribe on the canvas as scribes saved to your online directory can be downloaded and viewed by the Sparkol support team.

For a more detailed explanation of how to save scribes see Save scribes on your computer and online.

Step 1. Find the scribe.

If you want to save a scribe online from the projects screen, you need to make sure you are viewing your locally saved scribes (A) (recent scribes and any scribes in folders are also locally saved scribes).

Place your mouse over the scribe and click on the pencil icon that appears (B).

Step 2. Click the globe icon.

After clicking the pencil icon, the open scribe window will appear. Click the globe icon (C) and your scribe will be saved to your online directory. A message will appear to confirm this.
