Rotate text and images

Last updated: 15 November 2018

This article will show you two methods for rotating text and image elements that you have added to the canvas.

There are two ways you can rotate text and image elements; using the rotation control handle and entering a numeric rotation value in the element properties.

Method 1. Use the Rotation control handle.

With the element selected, click your mouse on the rotation control handle (A). Keep the mouse held down and move it away from the centre slightly. Now move the mouse up and down and the image or text will rotate. Release the mouse button when you have rotated the element.

Method 2. Enter a numerical rotation value from the element properties.

Step 1. Select the element and open the element properties (B).

Step 2. Enter a numerical rotation value in degrees.

Click on the value next to ‘Rotated’ (C) and enter a value between -3600 and 3600 degrees (D). Click the tick (E) to confirm the value.

Step 3. Return to the canvas.

Click the tick (F) to return to the canvas and view your rotated element.
