# AI - image generation

## Select your preferred style of image, enter a text prompt, and let VideoScribe AI create the perfect image

Create your perfect image with VideoScribe’s AI image generation.

- Click the '![ICONS - Ai](https://help.videoscribe.co/hubfs/Customer%20Success/ICONS%20-%20Ai.svg)**AI**' button in the **left-hand panel** to access VideoScribe’s AI tools
- Select the '![ICONS - Ai](https://help.videoscribe.co/hubfs/Customer%20Success/ICONS%20-%20Ai.svg)**Generate images with prompts**' option to get started

### **Generating your image**

1. **Select a style** 
     - **Highlight** - VideoScribe's signature black-and-white outline, with blue highlights - perfect for focusing attention on key elements
     - **Color** - full-color illustrations that add vibrancy and detail to your scribe, while still maintaining the classic VideoScribe aesthetic
2. **Write a prompt**  
     - Describe what you want to see, including key details like objects, people, backgrounds, and actions to guide the AI in creating your image. The more details the better.
3. **Generate your images** 
     - Click the '![ICONS - Ai](https://help.videoscribe.co/hubfs/Customer%20Success/ICONS%20-%20Ai.svg)**Generate AI image**' button to create your images (two will be created each time).
     - The number of remaining generations you have is displayed at the bottom.

**Top tip:** The key to generating the best images is to enter a clear, detailed prompt. Include specifics like subject, style, colors, and mood. For example, instead of “a cat”, try “a playful orange tabby cat sitting by a window in soft morning light.” The more detail, the better!

### **Using your images**

 Each image generation will produce two versions of the requested image so you can choose the one you prefer. However, this only counts as one generation request against your monthly usage limit.

- Click the '**Use image**' button to add an image directly to your canvas

**Top tip:** You can find all your AI-generated images in the image library, under the '**AI images**' tab in '**Your files**'.

If you aren’t happy with the generated images or if you're looking for something different, you have the following options:

- **![Edit](https://help.videoscribe.co/hubfs/Customer%20Success/Edit.svg)  Edit -** click this button to edit your current prompt and regenerate the images
- **Try a new prompt** - click this button to start the process over again. You can input a new prompt
- **![loop\_regenerate](https://help.videoscribe.co/hubfs/Customer%20Success/loop_regenerate.svg)  Regenerate** - click this button to create new versions of the images based on the same prompt, offering alternative results

### **Enabling color change for AI-generated images**

The color change option is not enabled by default for AI-generated images.

- To enable this option first select the image
- Then use the '![color](https://help.videoscribe.co/hubfs/Customer%20Success/color.svg)**Enable color change**'  button in the **right-hand panel**

This process will create a new version of your image with a simplified set of colors which can then be adjusted (see [Changing image colors](https://help.videoscribe.co/knowledge/changing-image-colors?hsLang=en)). Both the original and simplified version of the image will be available in your image library for easy access.

**Please note:** The color simplification process may affect the quality of the image. If you wish to revert to the original image, simply click '**Undo**' ![Undo](https://help.videoscribe.co/hubfs/Customer%20Success/Undo.svg) or use the keyboard shortcut.
