VideoScribe contains a number of keyboard shortcuts to help you create your projects with minimal effort, the list below shows the shortcuts currently available.
Microsoft Windows (PC)

- Ctrl + A = Select all elements
- Ctrl + C = Copy selected elements
- Ctrl + X = Cut selected elements
- Ctrl + V or Ctrl + D= Paste copied or cut elements
- Ctrl + Z = Undo last action*
- Ctrl + Y = Redo last undo action*
- Delete = Delete selected elements
- Ctrl + P = Preview Play from the start of the project
- Ctrl + + = If an element is selected, will centralise that element and zoom in. If no element is selected, will zoom in from the current position
- Ctrl + - = If an element is selected, will centralise that element and zoom out. If no element is selected, will zoom out from the current position
- Ctrl + S = Save scribe project
- ← → ↑ ↓ = If an element is selected, the element will move in the direction of the arrow used. If no element is selected, the canvas will scroll in the direction of the arrow used
- Shift + ← → ↑ ↓ = If an element is selected, the element will move in the direction of the arrow used but further than it would if the arrow was used without Shift. If no element is selected, the canvas will scroll in the direction of the arrow used but further than it would if the arrow was used without Shift
- Ctrl + ← → = Only functions if an element is selected, the arrow keys will move that element along the timeline one position at a time
- Home = Only functions if an element is selected, move selected element to the beginning of the timeline
- End = Only functions if an element is selected, move selected element to the end of the timeline
*Undo and redo will not work when importing audio or images
