The standard "marker" is great, however, when writing Dutch characters, it places a huge space between "I" and "j", in (for example) the word "zijn", (it is a common combination).
Could this be looked at by your team please, because the marker is just perfect in some situations, but needs to be replaced due to the way it handle text.
The workaround for this would be to split the word and create two separate text boxes and move them together.

Yep - I get that, but it's not a very practical commercial solution longterm. Proper language support from a fonts perspective is/will be a fundamental feature for commercial adoption going forward IMHO.
Yes, this is a workaround until proper kerning is implemented.
