Changing image while retaining draw function

  •  Good day

am a new user of this great tool. One thing: I need to change one of the drawings which has a Dollar sign, to one that has the Euro sign... but i want this change to be such that the hand will draw the entire image - in other words, i don't want this new image to be handled like other images i import (I saw that i can export an image into SVG, but the output is always corrupted and useless, plus I don't know if the drawing functionality is retained in an edited SVG) Is that feasible?

Insights on how to go about this would be greatly appreciated.

    cheers! Patrick

  • The method for changing the image depends on multiple factors.
Please attach the image here if you would like specific suggestions.

  • hi Mike

attached the image i exported from vodeoscribe to svg. plus, i note that any SVGs i import get drawn in a very thin outline, although the line is "fat". any suggestions ?

    Thanks, Patrick

  • Thank you Patrick.
now I understand. You want to edit an image from the videoscribe library.

You will need to use adobe illustrator, or inkscape (free at inkscape.org) or some other vector art program to edit your SVG. Do you have a program like that?

The simplest method, for drawing lines that will work correctly in videoscribe, is to use the pencil or pen tool to draw basic stroked paths with no added styles.
If you are using adobe illustrator CC, then you will also need to save your SVG using the save options described in tip 7 in the link below.
