When I convert a videoscribe to be viewed In portrait orientation (9:16) FOR MOBILE APPLICATIONS,, the drawing hand comes on the screen only from the bottom of a 16:9 landscape. That makes the drawing hand draw in from the left rather than from the bottom and it looks awkward. I revert to no hand.
Is there a way to change the hand position to draw from any side (like the choices offered in MOVE IN)?

No , but if you set up your scribe to be rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise instead of clockwise, then the hand will come in from the right side and that looks better.
Or you can experiment with making custom hands to see if you can get a better angle.

Yes, a custom hand with the hand on the left and arm on the right will draw from the bottom when the video is rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise.
