      AI Voiceover Generation (beta)

      Create the perfect voiceover in the language and accent of your choice with VideoScribe’s AI voiceover generator

      Turn your text into life-like speech with VideoScribe’s AI Voiceover tool. Click the ‘AI’ button to access VideoScribe’s AI tools. Select the ‘Generate a voiceover with text’ section to get started. 

      Please note: This is a beta feature currently only available to a select group of users testing the early version. It’s not yet widely available, but we’re actively developing it.  It will only be available in the browser version of VideoScribe. If you’re interested in joining the beta waitlist, you can sign up here. 

      Generating your voiceover

      1. Choose your language and accent
        1. Use the drop-down menu to scroll through the selection of languages and accents. Select your preferred language and accent. 
      2. Preview and choose a voice 
        1. Scroll through the selection of voices. Click the play button to preview the voice. Select the voice you want to use.  
      3. Input your text to be converted into a voiceover
        1. There is a 4000-character limit per voiceover generation. You can always paste your text from another document. 
        2. During the beta period, you are limited to 300 minutes of AI voiceover generation. An estimated usage time will be displayed under the text box, as you enter your text.
      4. Generate your voiceover
        1. Click the ‘Generate AI voiceover’ to create your voiceover 

      Rating your voiceover

      Since AI voiceover generation is currently in beta, you'll need to rate and provide feedback on the voiceover before using it. This helps us improve the feature for future updates. 

      Use the play button to listen to your voiceover generation. 

      1. Rate your voiceover
        1. Using the smiley face scale, click on one of the faces to rate your generated voiceover (bad, okay, good)
      2. Tell us what is wrong with it
      3. If you've rated it as 'bad' or 'okay,' click on the issues related to your voiceover. You can select multiple options.
      4. Add in extra comments or details
        1. Explain in further detail what the issues are with the voiceover. This will help us to improve the feature!

          Using your voiceover 

          Once you have rated your voiceover and provided feedback, you can use the ‘Add to video’ button. You’ll have two options when adding your voiceover:

          • Scene audio: Add your voiceover to the selected scene
          • Project audio: Add your voiceover as project audio, which will play throughout the entire project

          All your AI-generated voiceovers will also appear in the audio library, under ‘Your files’. They will have an ‘AI’ tag so you can easily distinguish them from other tracks. 

          If you aren’t happy with the generated voiceover or are looking for something different, you have two options:

          • Generate a new voiceover: Click this button to restart the process and create a new voiceover
          • Edit text: Click this button to make changes to your current text and voice
