Here's a list of the updates included in the VideoScribe v3.6 release...
If you have used VideoScribe before, it is important that you understand the following information before upgrading
The font system is a completely new system from the previous versions which means the following:
- In version 3.6, you will be able to use pre-installed Google fonts which are listed in the add text element menu. Please use version 3.5.2 if you wish to use your own imported fonts
- You can still edit the contents of any fonts that already exist in your scribes, prior to 3.6
- Version 3.6 is compatible with 64-bit desktop machines. From version 3.6 onwards we will only support 64-bit machines on VideoScribe. If you have a 32-bit machine, please install version 3.5.2
- Saving a scribe file in version 3.6 will upgrade your existing scribe files to the new font system. This means that you cannot use 3.6 scribe files in previous versions

Multiple language support
Version 3.6 is a significant improvement to VideoScribe. We are now able to support multiple languages!
VideoScribe can now support languages that use the following character sets:
- Arabic
- Chinese Simplified
- Cyrillic
- Hebrew
- Japanese
- Korean
- Latin
We will look to add additional languages in the future. Let us know what languages you would like to see in VideoScribe here.
Google Fonts now available
We have over 60 new fonts available from the get-go in VideoScribe with a range of styles and weights that make personalising your scribes so much easier.
What you see is what you get
When you create a text element, you can now see how your font and style will look in the editor view, before you see it on canvas. You can now have text elements of varying colours. Highlight sections of text and then select your colour.
Improved text resolution
We have made wholesale changes to the way fonts work and operate within VideoScribe, including improving the resolution to vector graphics grade so the text that is written is sharp.
Kerning fixed
The kerning of our fonts has been improved from previous versions
Timer in preview playback
We have added a timer in the preview play section to assist you with getting the timing and synchronisation of your scribes just right.
Fade-in option on PNG JPEG imports
We have made the fade-in option available when importing PNG and JPEG images, giving you more control over your animation options.
Removal of YouTube render option
We have removed the option to directly upload to YouTube. We are looking to reintroduce a new and improved YouTube upload feature in the future. You can still render your scribes to Video locally or via sho.co for MP4 and upload to YouTube manually.
Bug fixed
We fixed a bug where on occasion, users were unable to select elements as the previous one became sticky.
We’ve packed a lot in and we hope you like the sound of all these improvements! Here’s how you upgrade to the latest version…
