VideoScribe Legacy system requirements

VideoScribe Legacy is available for Windows and Mac. Your device will need to meet some specifications to run the software.

Please note: If your computer only meets the minimum system requirements you may experience some slow performance. For a smoother experience please ensure your system meets or exceeds the recommended requirements.

 Microsoft Windows (PC)

To run VideoScribe Legacy on a PC you need at least:

  • Microsoft Windows 7 or higher (Windows 8 or higher recommended)
    • 64-bit systems only
    • Not including beta releases of future OS versions
  • 4GB of available RAM
  • An X86-compatible processor or Intel Atom 1.6GHz (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Phenom II processor recommended)
  • A screen that can handle 1024x768 resolution (1280x720 resolution recommended)

Please note: Whilst VideoScribe Legacy works on these Windows versions, this may not always be the case for versions no longer officially supported by Microsoft. To see which Windows versions are currently supported by Microsoft, please click here

 Mac OSX / macOS

To run VideoScribe Legacy on a Mac you need at least:

  • macOS 10.12 or higher
    • Not including beta releases of future OS versions
  • 4GB of available RAM
  • An Apple M1 or 1.83GHz Multicore Intel processor 
  • A screen that can handle 1024x768 resolution (1280x720 resolution recommended)

Please note: Whilst VideoScribe Legacy works on these macOS versions, this may not always be the case for versions no longer officially supported by Apple.  Please check online to see which macOS versions are currently supported by Apple.

Notes for all operating systems

  • A stable internet connection is required to login to the application for the first time
  • A stable internet connection is required to access the online resources in the image and music libraries
  • Voiceover recording requires an internal or external microphone
