VideoScribe system requirements

VideoScribe is available as a web app, or as a desktop app for Windows and Mac. Your device will need to meet some specifications to run the software.

 Microsoft Windows (PC)

To run VideoScribe on a PC you will need:

  • Windows 10 or higher (Windows 11 or higher recommended)

Please note: Whilst VideoScribe works on these Windows versions, this may not always be the case for versions no longer officially supported by Microsoft. To see which Windows versions are currently supported by Microsoft, please click here

Apple macOS

To run VideoScribe on a Mac you will need:

  • macOS 11 or higher (macOS 14 or higher recommended)

Please note: Whilst VideoScribe works on these macOS versions, this may not always be the case for versions no longer officially supported by Apple.  Please check online to see which macOS versions are currently supported by Apple.

VideoScribe web app

If you are running VideoScribe as a web app then the following browsers are supported (3 most recent versions only):

  • Chrome
  • Safari
  • Firefox
  • Edge

Mobile devices and tablets

Devices with small screens (767px or less) have limited functionality. You can only preview and download your project using these devices. 

  • This includes most, if not all mobiles, and will include some tablets

Please note: Preview performance will depend on your device and its hardware specifications. Some mobile devices and tablets may not be able to preview your project.

We strongly recommend using VideoScribe on a desktop or laptop for the best performance and experience.
