Finding images in the VideoScribe library

There are millions of images in the image library in VideoScribe browser. Here are some useful tips and tricks on how to find the images you need quickly!

When you open the image library ICONS - Image from the left-hand panel, you’ll see the following three tabs along the top:

  • Image library - allows you to search or browse the library to find images for your project
  • Your files - browse any images you’ve uploaded and any AI images you’ve generated (AI Image Generation is currently in beta)
  • Recently used - lets you browse all of your recently used images

Top tip: You can resize the image library panel using the handle along its right-hand edge. You can also keep the library panel open while you find multiple images, and add them to the canvas from the panel.

Image library

When you first open the image library, you will see options to search for images or upload your own images at the top of the image library panel. Underneath this, you will see all the image categories which you can use to browse the content of the library.

Browsing through these categories is a great way to get to know the range of images available in the library, as well as the different image styles on offer. If you know what you’re looking for though, it’s usually quicker to search.

Searching for images

You can search for images simply by typing in your search terms and pressing Enter. Alternatively, you can select from the list of popular search terms provided just below the search bar.

How to refine your search

Some searches might produce hundreds of images in the results, so it's a good idea to refine your search to narrow down the number of matching images you get.

You can do this by adding more search terms so that the results more closely match what you’re looking for. For example, if you search for 'people female paramedic' instead of just 'people', you’ll get a shorter list of more appropriate ima0ges.
