Morph Scribbles

  • Hi I followed the tutorial to make an image move from one end of the screen to the other.  In the video the image starts off on one side then slowly moves without changing the image while it is in motion.  When I try to move from one side to the other the image gos from color to black and white with a big scribble mark through it while it is moving then back to the image it's supposed to look like.

For example a pic of a cup on the left.  Copy and paste image.  Move 2'nd image to other side of screen.  Go to second image properties and select morph from 1'st image with 1 second animation.  Click on play and while it is moving it is black and white with a scribble mark drawn through it.  Why?  I just want it to look like the same cup went from here to there.  Any feedback?

  • Hi,

During a morph, the stroked paths of an SVG are always 100% opaque black and fills are always transparent.

So it is is best to use SVGs that contain only black stroked paths,  with no hidden or transparent paths and no color fills.

You can use a free program like inkscape (inkscape.org) to remove the scribble and the color fills if you want the image to morph better.

  • hello I a working on video scribe . when I ply it some parts of my texts and images are in the corner and I cant bring them in the middle. I tried it many times by dragging the middle but when I play it it becomes in the corner. pls help me.

  • Hi,
    1) to move an element click and drag the element
    2) to move the camera/canvas, click and drag on an empty part of the canvas
    3) when the element and the camera are where you want them to be, select the element and then click the "set camera" icon in the lower right corner of the screen.

    4) each element has one camera position and if you do not set it manually, a default one is assigned that might not be what you want.

    Hope that helps,

  • We have now released VideoScribe version 3.2.0 where any transparent strokes will be ignored during the morph so you will no longer see the black lines over images set to morph that have a transparent reveal stroke over them.

Download version 3.2.0 from your account page. |  View Release Notes for v3.2.
