Once I changed the hand for the video, the "move in" option hand the hand moving objects in while holding the pen, rather than with an open empty hand as before. I can't figure out how to get back to the default hand that does not hold a pen when moving objects onto the canvas. Help!

Hi Rafi,
Thanks for your your question.
If you select the properties of element that you are having issues with you will see a hand icon.
Click on this icon and select the default hand, this will restore the default move in hand.

I'm having the same trouble. The interface has changed since 2015 so I'm not sure what to do.

Hi,
Although the UI has changed, the instructions are the same. Here they are again with more a little more detail:
1) select the thumbnail in the timeline that corresponds to the element that you want to "move-in"
2) click "image properties"
3) (make sure you have chosen "move-in" as your animation type)
4) click the hand icon ("drawing hand") near the upper right corner of the image properties menu
5) select one of the default drawing hands (I think they are always the first two hands shown)
6) test it to make sure it works right, tweak as needed
