Correction: if I look closely, the blocks are also present in the software but are not as obvious. What can I do to fix this?

Hi Felicia,
I have taken a look at this and it does appear to be an issue. It has been logged as a bug with our development team.
I found that the blocks were less visible when rendering as WMV so this could be a possible workaround for now. If you need to have the video in a format other than WMV you could render the scribe as a WMV and convert to a different format using a video conversion tool.

HI Matthew
I have the same problem with a black canvas back ground as Felicia. Is the bug stil pending in the latest version? Is there a workaround?
Thanks, Urs

Just would like to add: I can see the transparent text blocks in the VideoScribe editor and in the rendered AVI.

This has been a long lasting problem. I can remember even the 1x family having this problem. Why there has never been a fix after all this time is somewhat discouraging.

Yes, this has been an issue for a while but we haven't had that many reports of it so it doesn't seem to be affecting that many people. It's on the list but it's not a high priority at the moment.
My scribe looks perfect in the software, but once saved as a .mov file on my computer the playback shows transparent white blocks around the text.
Attached is a screenshot from the playback, where you can see the lighter "blocks" before the text even appears.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
