Okay, so videoscribe has given me more grief than any other piece of software.
I just lost an hour and a half hours worth of work, and I just feel like giving up.
I have to give this project to a client, and I poured my heart into it, only to find out that this software cannot handle itself and without any warning will crash whenever it feels like.
Moreover, that autosave feature that it supposed to save my work every two minutes is a lie. Where IS THE REST OF THE WORK I DID? WHY WASN'T IT SAVED?
Videoscribe has this habit of determining whether I'm connected to the internet or not right at the beginning, so if my connection dies in the middle of me using videoscribe, it can't handle it.
My PC specs are good. Windows 10 intel i7 with 16GB RAM. Other professional video editing software run fine.
But videoscribe, I don't even know where to begin.
This is the worst software I've ever used. The only reason I still use it is because I can't find a better alternative. I know I'm going to get the typical response here, but that just makes it worse.
The only thing that can even fix my grief is basically getting the software for free. Because paying for a software that loses me so much of my time feels even worse.
I know that its frustrating when a program is not providing the results you want. If it makes you feel any better, I just spent about 7 hours wrestling with dropbox to upload a mere 44MB file.... it was ridiculous.
If you just wanted to vent that's cool.
You didn't provide enough information for anyone to determine what is
wrong with the scribe and "videoscribe is broken" is not the actual
problem. The problem is: "videoscribe works best if you follow certain
rules and prepare your files a certain way."
If you want to understand what you might be able to do
differently to use the program more successfully, then save your project
to the cloud folder and ask customer support to look at it.
