Background in Videoscribe

  • Hello,

I try to import a background image in Videoscribe. It is a .svg file but the size of the file is to big. Each time when i try to import it will crash. Is there a posibility to load 1 image and repeat this on X and Y? It is a pattern.

  •  no there is no way to automatically make a repeating background pattern in videoscribe.

  • How can i fix the background file? I want a pattern behind the video but when i reload the image a several times, videoscribe crashed.

  • for best results, if you just want "A" pattern or color, then choose from the textures provided by videoscribe. Just open a scribe and click the PAPER icon at the top of the screen.

If you really need to use an image from an outside source, use some other program to make 1 single image that repeats as much as you want and then save it with a large image size and a small file size. Wider is better than taller if you want to import an image that will be scaled large. For example 800 pixels high by 2400 wide.

After importing, scale it as large as it needs to be to accommodate whatever images will be imported on top of it. scaling it larger will make it less sharp and more blurry.

to make all images sharper in your scribe, you can save and close the scribe, then  increase the default image quality setting by clicking the gear icon on the projects screen but higher quality setting result in more memory usage which can potentially result in freezing or other problems.
