There is nothing crashing and it isnt for a specific scribe. If i open a .scrible file, i cant save it. When i click save, nothing happens. The program is not freezing, it just doesnt do anything. For all scribes, no matter how big the files are.

Hi, Save it locally first. I believe I have read that videoscribe works as follows: When you save a .scribe file, videoscribe does NOT make the .scribe file from the project that is currently open. Videoscribe finds the version that is already saved on your hard drive and it saves a copy of that file in a location of your choice.
Therefore you cannot save a .scribe file unless you have saved the project locally first. (It seems kind of weird that it works that way, but apparently that's how it works.)
Important note: if you have the project saved and then you make changes, and then you save a .scribe file... the new changes in the open project will not appear in the .scribe file, unless you save locally first (and I think that probably explains why people sometimes come on here and say they lost hours of work).
A solution would probably be for Videoscribe to ONLY let you save .scribe files from the projects menu and the website, and not when a project is open.... or for a warning message to appear informing the user that the.scribe file will be made from the last saved version.

A couple of things to try if you can't get an imported .scribe file to save:
Save without changing the name.
If there is a soundtrack on the scribe, remove it and try saving again. Once saved, add the soundtrack back and the scribe should save.
The solution is to not exceed the memory limitations of videoscribe:
