Hi - I have my Videoscribe animation completed and I want to export it (with a TRANSPARENT background) so I can import/place over top of a video in After Effects. How might I do that?

I think you have two options: 1) Export the project as a PNG sequence with transparent backgrounds, then import the sequence into After Effects or 2) use a green background color in videoscribe then export the video and use chroma key technique to remove the green background in After effects
(Don't use any textured background patterns in videoscribe for either of these methods)
