Look at the 3rd video on the right in the "7.5k per minute" category. In the 0:25 mark onwards, the hand drew 3 characters and then they moved.
How was this achieved? Animated GIFs?

That does not look like it was made with videoscribe. Some of those effects could probably be accomplished with animated gifs or sequentially displayed images with different poses. Effects involving drawing and movement at the same time, or an animation starting while drawing continues, could be applied to a finished videoscribe video using video editing programs such as after effects.
