Output location for extracting video doesn't open file browser

  • When I try to export a video (rendering) and I press "Output location" button in the share window, I see a blank new window where I can't see any files or folders to choose from. It is just a blank rectangle.

I'm using macOS Big Sur 11.2.3 and the latest version of  Videoscribe.

This process, however, worked the first time I exported the video. I could choose the output location and everything was fine. But now I can't do it again.

    How can I fix this?

  • Note: this problem occurs also when I try to export a video from the default scribe found in VideoScribe by default.

  •  There is at least one post recommending to not update to Big Sur yet as it is not fully supported by videoscribe. If you have another mac with an older OS ,you may have better luck using that until videoscribe is updated to improve compatibility with Big Sur.

  • Thanks Mike for your answer.

I just started using VideoScribe this week.

I had already Big Sur in.

I have no other device to use.

Do you have any idea how can I work around this problem?

  • I noticed that this problem is not only related with extracting a video.

I had it again when I tried to save a scribe on my computer.

It is related with file browsing in VideoScribe in general.

I could solve the problem when I completely un-installed VideoScribe and deleted all cache files in "Library" folder and then start over again. Then it worked for some hours then crashed again.
